I took this photo during my first attempt at low-light/night photography using my sister’s 75-300mm Canon lens. It looks like the moon has taken a lot of hits for us, doesn’t it? Originally I was hoping for it to be as full as possible, but now that I think about it, it’s the shadows on the side of the moon that revealed the crater details.
You might be wondering why the moon looks purple and not completely grey. Often, cameras let you see colours you didn’t know where there. So, I thought it would be fun to increase the vibrancy and see the moon’s true colours! And thus it appears that the moon not only has craters, but bruises too!
I don’t know about you, but whenever I think about other planets and outer space I always feel a little insignificant and weirded out by the fact that the universe is so much bigger than we can even imagine…
