After spending most of the day with Tiffany & Tyler shooting their engagement as well as family photos (see Dogs Will Teach You Love), I felt privileged to witness their love and to help create memories they’ll cherish for years to come. Like most people who consider themselves introverts, Tiffany & Tyler relied on me to make them feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera. We worked together to choose a location/theme that suited them as a couple, and we discussed their outfits and the kind of shots/poses they wanted in advance. The rest was up to me and my vision, for which they had total trust. I honestly couldn’t have had better clients!
The above images are just a few favourites from Tiffany & Tyler’s July engagement shoot at Lavenderland (8460 Steveston Hwy, Richmond, BC). When I arrived, I received a $10 off coupon at the entrance to redeem at the gift shop for lavender hydrosol (aromatherapy in a spray bottle)—a nice parting gift that makes the $15 entry fee seem super reasonable! The lavender fields only stay open for the summer and usually close in September, so check them out while you can… and make sure to get a few scoops of their lavender ice cream! It’s SO good. If taking pictures in the fields, you’ll want to be weary of getting too close to the lavender bunches as there were tons of bees at work when I visited, but as long as you can give them ample space, they won’t bother you!
