“She Wanted a Cat” Storybook [Video]

My year is off to a great start and I hope yours is going well too! I don’t post as much here as I’m often either busy posting on Instagram/Facebook or working on my newest story project, Dogs Will Teach You Love.

Recently, two of my project participants decided to order a couple of books after they shared their stories and saw the photos I had captured. We decided on two 8×11 glossy hardcover books with 20 standard pages and premium colour ink (30 images included). Since we had already shot the images and prepared a story, it was a seamless and logical next step to create a book! On average, it takes about 5 hours to lay out and design a book like this from start to finish.

Growing up, my family albums were a mess, and maybe yours were too. It was difficult to know what was going on and who was who, because there were never any notes or stories written down or left behind. We take photos because we want to remember the people, places, and things that were significant to us. The bond we have with our beloved pets is also part of that, and yet, nowadays everything lives on our phones or computers! It brought me so much joy to make these memories for my client and bring this book to life in celebration of her dog’s first birthday. A rescue from Texas, Milo has come a long way to find his forever home!
